Welcome to

National Home Educators
Home of the Sentinel Newsletter
The National LDS Homeschool Association started in 2004 with Latter-day Saint homeschool leaders from across the nation combining their efforts to promote, with a positive influence, the right to homeschool (for those who so choose) and to share ideas that might help make the road easier for all families as they search the best educational options in today's world. One of their many contributions is a weekly newsletter called "The Sentinel".
The Sentinel is now being published by Latter-day Saint National Home Educators. The LDS-NHA website is still available with all the information they have provided so far, but have turned over the Sentinel and up-dates on Conferences to us.
The Latter-day Saint National Home Educators focus is creating a place where newbies and veterans can come and find the vision and the tools they need to educate their families.
From our polling we learned that we have newbie’s who need guidance, moms who need a shot in the arm of enthusiasm, and veteran homeschoolers who are the pioneers in this adventure, reading our weekly newsletter. We hope to create an environment where we can help address the challenges of each of these stages of homeschooling, whether you school one, two, eight or even more kids.
We have gathered a group of writers who have the guidance, the shot in the arm or whatever else it is that you need to keep you motivated to sit down each day with your little ones (and not so little) and help them educate themselves about this wonderful world Heavenly Father has created.
We have 13 writers, some will be ones you have come to know and love and others we are introducing, but all have a commitment to helping you create a homeschool of love, truth and excellence. For an introduction to who they are and a little about what they will be writing about each month click here. We will be featuring 1 or 2 articles in the weekly newsletter.
On the 5th Tuesdays we will feature articles by vendors, explaining their products and why those products will help you in your homeschool. If you are a vendor and would like to write about your product, let us know. We would love to feature you.
